Football Manager 2021 – Game Not Starting, Crash At Startup Fix
Game Not Starting, Crash At Startup Fix
A lot of Football Manager 2021 PC players are reporting that the game is crashing at startup or not launching at all. There are a number of reasons behind the Football Manager 2021 crash at launch issue and here are the fixes.
One reason for the game to crash at launch could be the lack of admin rights. Right-click on the game’s exe > Properties > Compatibility tab > check “run this program as an administrator” and hit apply. This will fix the error.
Your anti-virus/Windows Security might be blocking important game files and causing it to crash. Either disable real-time protection or exclude the Football Manager 2021’s install folder from it. This will fix the crash at launch issue.
If the issue persists, go to your Steam Library > right-click Football Manager 2021 > Properties > Local Files tab > click Browse Local Files. This will open the folder where the game is installed. Launch the game directly from the game’s exe. Chances are, players will get an error similar to “vcruntime140_1.dll or MSVCP140.dll Was Not Found”. If that’s the case, fix it by installing the latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables in both x64 and x86 versions. This will fix the crash at launch issue with Football Manager 2021.
